Meghan McCain threatens to sue 'The View' after Biden comparison

Meghan McCain may still have an ax to grind when it comes to “The View.” The former co-host of the daytime talk show has threatened to sue after being compared to Hunter Biden on live TV.

The famous daughter of late Republican senator John McCain took umbrage to a Hot Topic segment in which Ana Navarro seemingly suggested that McCain “influence-peddled” her family name — much like what President Biden’s scandal-ridden son has been accused of.

“Look, did Hunter Biden influence-peddle on his last name? Yes, he did. So did half of Washington. People sitting at this table did it!” Navarro said during Thursday’s broadcast.

The panel’s “conservative” host, Alyssa Farah Griffin — who served in the Trump administration — probed Navarro about the identity of who she was referring to.

“I’m not talking about currently,” the fast-talking political commentator shot back, without mentioning any names.

McCain immediately reacted to the exchange on social media, writing, “I don’t understand why my former colleagues [at ‘The View’] bring me up and slander me on an almost weekly basis. It has been years — move on, I have.”

“I have never been accused of a crime in my life and am a patriotic American — I would never and have never ‘influenced-peddled’ in my life, let alone with foreign adversaries. Not all politicians’ children are the same — and I am no Hunter Biden.”

Amid a firestorm of controversy surrounding the younger Biden, House Republicans this week voted on an impeachment effort against President Biden, alleging he benefited from his son’s foreign business dealings.

McCain, who departed “The View” in 2021 following frequent fights with her co-hosts, called the accusations “absurd, defamatory and slanderous,” adding that she would be “consulting my lawyers regarding what was libeled against me on ‘The View’ this morning.”

McCain joined the Barbara Walters-created chatfest in 2017 and sat at the table for four seasons.

In her 2021 audiobook, “Bad Republican,” she attributed her exit from the show to a “toxic” workplace, specifically calling out co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar.
