Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ Seattle home lists for $4.4M

Amazon founder and part-time astronaut Jeff Bezos has listed one of his properties near Bellevue, Washington, for sale.

The four-bedroom house at 9218 NE 38th Street in Yarrow Point is part of a trio of residences used by Bezos’ personal staff, including security guards and chefs, the Puget Sound Business Journal reported.

Business Insider revealed the existence of the properties, which are smaller than Bezos’ previously known real estate holdings in the area. The Yarrow Point house is listed with Compass for $4.4 million, and Bezos had initially purchased it through an LLC for $2.75 million in 2019, according to King County records. It was part of a $45 million spending spree Bezos went on following his high-profile divorce from Mackenzie Bezos in 2019, Business Insider reported.

With this new addition, Bezos’ real estate presence in the Seattle area now includes a total of eight properties, valued at about $190 million.

However, since announcing his move to Miami last month, he has not listed any other Puget Sound-area properties for sale.

Bezos, who spent nearly 30 years in the Seattle area, recently purchased two neighboring mansions in Miami’s luxury enclave of Indian Creek. In October, he purchased a waterfront estate in Indian Creek Village for $79 million, next to a property he acquired last summer for $68 million.

Bezos bought the nearly 2-acre estate at 12 Indian Creek Island Road, sources told The Real Deal. Bloomberg first reported the news.

Besides Seattle and Miami, Bezos owns properties in various cities, including New York; Washington, D.C.; and Beverly Hills, California.
